Toe-tapping music and luscious desserts
An event that has become a very popular part of Grimsby’s annual Canada Week festivities will take place again this year on Sunday, June 26 when Niagara Gateway Harmony, a local barbershop chorus, will host Berries ‘n Harmony by the Lake.
The celebration will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Old Pump House, at the foot of Elizabeth Street, on the shore of beautiful Lake Ontario. Admission and the music are free and, for a mere $5 you can enjoy one of our delicious strawberry sundaes.
Back by popular demand will be the entertaining “Trio Corn Brio” whose music and humour have been enjoyed by audiences throughout Niagara. Joining Trio Corn Brio and the chorus will be a local swing/jazz duet featuring Carol Ryan and Gene Ruzsa.
This year’s event promises to be the most entertaining yet so mark Sunday, June 26 on your calendars and plan to join in this year’s shoreline songfest.
What a delightful way to spend a warm, leisurely Sunday afternoon, enjoying a free concert by the lake while savouring that most decadent taste of early summer – a strawberry sundae!
